Matthew Chin

Physiotherapist

Matthew grew up in Montreal, QC, where he sampled a wide variety of sports and eventually focused his energy in sprint kayaking. After many years of competing and coaching in the sport, he obtained a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Exercise Science at Concordia University, and became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He went on to graduate from McGill University with a Masters of Physiotherapy, and worked in Montreal before moving to Kelowna in the summer of 2021.

Matthew is a physiotherapist with a comprehensive approach to optimizing patients. His knowledge and experience in physical conditioning strengthens his practice to guide patients throughout their entire rehab back to sport and performing to their full potential. His approach includes motor control, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise. Matthew has a keen interest in running injuries, and also addresses vestibular and temporomandibular disorders. He will happily work with you in English or French.

Matthew values the importance of professional development, and has attended a variety of continuing education courses, notably those from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, SMARTERehab, and The Running Clinic. Additionally, he likes to contribute to the development of the profession through mentorship of physiotherapy residents, and guest lectures at McGill in their Masters level course.
